Jesus Christ, you can see where the cinderblock things are broken already. This couldn't be more choreographed if George loving Lucas directed it.

fake edit: your most recent post makes a good companion piece to this post.

Yeah, that is the glaring exception to the rule. Possibly stuff at the Super Bowl level...let's face it, nobody is scheduling a loving 2v2 45 minutes before kickoff. But they do use local assets, usually from a nearby NAS or ANG base.

I was curious if you'd recognize that photo. I wish the video still existed, but apparently all copies were destroyed.

Almost every single one of them with the exception of Warden's Rings poo poo. We're killing off the training routines that were specifically designed to avoid Vietnam/Korea style fiascos, like Red Flag. Green Flag is worthless. Going downtown and want a little electronic support? Check out the USAF's current jamming inventory:

Yeah. Zero. Self-protection capability, which falls well short of a dedicated platform (EF-111, for example, or EA-6B, or EA-18). I'll give the BUFF credit though, I've seen that poo poo get turned on and it was interesting to see. But there are a lot of reasons that's not the right/complete answer.

As far as the Viper in that video, he never gets a chance to get his energy/speed back up. An F-16's thrust-to-weight ratio is barely above 1:1.

Pictures and videos thread...how about a video about pictures? This project got ahold of 31 rolls of undeveloped film taken by a single soldier in WWII and actually was able to process them and recover a ton of awesome photos.

Then he dropped the mic, burned the building down, and hosed 15 women he met walking away from the scene while putting on his sunglasses.

See, sometimes you end up with a lovely or mediocre product for a variety of reasons. Price, politics (ie, jobs and taxes), design compromises...fortunately that doesn't really happen much anymore.

It's basically an exaggeration of British drill & ceremonies. Subcontinental warfare always had a thing for flourish and pomp, so when the high-stepping, scarlet-jacketed Brits showed up, the locals had to outshine them.
