Since we're nearly a week into the year and nobody has done this yet... let's see if we can get even remotely near 50% success rate on these!

I'm aiming low:

*Burn at least one full tank of gas in the GMC this year
*Eliminate my pile of "parts for projects yet to be done" (ideally, by doing the loving projects)
*Fully clean and organize my garage / tools

Get a better paying job. Not technically car stuff, but it will hopefully pay for:

  • Rebuild either my MX5 or Mini engine, Mini will be cheaper but the Mazda engine has a far better chance of going back in a working car one day.
  • Marshal at at least 3 race events.
  • Either fix the stupid Peugeot or sell it. Maybe fix it then sell it but ehh.

This. More specifically, stop loving getting depressed and giving a poo poo about a certain particular girl from 2013 who constantly hosed with my head and heart. I have yet to E/N about her in the chat thread and hopefully never will. Really not worth the hassle and my poo poo pales in comparison to most of AI's troubles.

Also:
* Actually, properly fill up the Crown Vic's tank now that gas is down to $2/gallon. At least once, I want to see that needle pegged on Full.
* Fix the smashed in driver's side door. It still opens and closes fine, it just looks rough.
* Properly clean and remove all the adhesive on the doors from the door trim I yanked off. Maybe once the weather warms up.
* :siren:Maybe actually go on a proper date this year if I can get over my lovely self esteem issues?:siren:

But seek the road
which makes death a fulfillment.
*Find a RWD/Manual transmission cheap fun car. (Not a miata). My step son is turning 9 this year and is wanting to learn how to work on cars so going to sell it to the wife as a learning experience. ;o)
*New bike, so tired of not having a motorcycle for the last two years.
*Fix dent in my truck (thanks you loving tree limb) and learn how to paint with platidip until I can decide on a new paint color for the truck.
** Finally clean out the garage from moving clutter and install some storage and make it usable for car and wood/metal projects. 20x40 detached garage not used for parking only for projects and it's packed with crap from moving in 2 years ago.

  • Put tools on the Chevelle. Like, actually touch it other than changing the tarp a couple times a year. No way will I get it running, but I need to at least stop letting it languish in a field.
  • Keep at least 2 of my vehicles running and driving all year. This is kind of cheating, because I am starting with 2, but I need to have a year where poo poo doesn't break horribly.

I sucked at this last year.

1. Become debt free, or at least knock out everything except the remainders of the largest student loan.
2. House actually turned into a house of sorts, with heat, and no car parts in the kitchenno dirty car parts in the kitchen.
3. All body work and suspension repairs done on Forester, plus a new carpet and drivers seat.
4. At least one jeep project "completed" (i.e. driveable in the form I want it to be in, insured, registered, inspected.)

#1 and #2 are why I'm aiming low this time around.

Here's a cat fucking a squid.
- Keep the MS3 looking nice. As I have no off street parking this means being careful about where I park it, keeping on top of getting any damage repaired and keeping it in a fairly presentable state
- Buy a proper house with proper off street parking and somewhere I can do very simple wrenching. This will supersede the first point.
- New job. This could be either just a new title/job description for what I'm actually doing or an actual new job somewhere else.
