They have added the ability to skip cutscenes in Ducktales making the game infinitely better than it was on Steam at release.

That's been in the Steam release for a while though, I bought the game during the summer sale and the cutscenes were already skippable. Still annoyed me that it takes 2 button presses (and not the same button) though.

God dammit, I picked up Pinball Arcade Season 2 but it seems to be broken, only giving you 4 of the 10 packs that it's meant to. (Purchased it directly from my Vita for what that's worth). Table packs 14-20 have two store listings, one at full price and one "unavailable". I was able to get packs 16 and 17, which showed up as free, but the rest are still locked.

Background data says season 2 pass includes the season 2 pass entitlement and table packs 11 through 14, each both PS3 and Vita versions. Packs 15 through 20 would have to be claimed as free downloads after buying the pass.

What shows up under these Vita listings in the webstore?
Table Pack 15: Champion Pub and Whirlwind
Table Pack 16: Flight 2000 and Goin' Nuts
Table Pack 17: Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Table Pack 18: Tee'd Off and Haunted House
Table Pack 19: Class of 1812 and Victory
Table Pack 20: Cue Ball Wizard and El Dorado City of Gold

Do the PS3 versions of the above tables show up as free downloads for you? If so, try claiming those to see if the Vita versions will get released.

There are 3 versions of each table pack: tables by themselves, tables + pro upgrade, and upgrade by itself. The purchased tables may have disappeared from the store listings and you're seeing the other options.

I bought the $20 Pro Pass
Tables+Pro are still listed but are priced
Pro Upgrade by itself is "purchased"
16 and 17 were free but 15 and 18-20 are "unavailable" because I bought the pass :downs: this is true of both the ps3 and psvita versions

The "Pro Upgrade" is just a 100kb unlock file and doesn't contain table data at all. They are definitely absent from my download list.

Also, loving the poo poo out of playing Duke on my Vita, though its taking me some time to get the controls to click, Duke with a controller is just messing me up. Really hoping that the studio that did this redoes more old school games, Blood would be a real treat to play again, loved that game to pieces.

If I'm reading the background info right:
All of the regular Vita tables from Season 2 are only available if:
You don't own the season pass and you don't own the pro upgrade - priced option
or
You own the season pass but don't own the pro upgrade - free option

Pro tables are only available if you don't own the regular version - priced. There is no free option for that.

So it's possible to be locked out of the tables if you have both the pro upgrade and the season pass! :psyduck:

The PS3 tables have the same entitlement rules, except for 16 and 17, the ones you got. 16 and 17 PS3 free options only check if you got the season pass and don't care about whether or not you got the pro upgrade.

You got the pro season pass first, then claimed the pro upgrade before the tables, right?
Are the same tables locked out through the in-game store?

I love multiplayer shooters, but man, the single player in almost everything just kinda sucks. Sure, it looks great, but they're all this scripted movie wannabe games. I miss games like Doom and Duke. I replay Doom 1 & 2 every few years and the level design still kills anything out there.

Ø Download and install the PSX theme from PlayStation Network during the Promotion Period to enter the Promotion.

Only one new free thing this week:
PlayStation Now PS4 Dynamic Theme 19 MB, probably available until January 31 (available only in USA)

Notes:

Careful about the sales. The whole section is a mess, with a mix of games not on sale anymore, games still on sale, and games that used to be on sale, then not, then back on sale again. I only have the active sales listed above.

There is a sweepstakes where downloading and installing the free PlayStation Now PS4 Dynamic Theme will enter you for a chance of 1 of 100 1-year PS Now subscriptions. The theme will be available until the end of the month, and the sweepstakes is only available in USA. The rules say you must have a PS4 and install the theme on it, so I guess just claiming it from the webstore won't count.

Yeah, only 2 new games this week.

All of these free things will no longer be free next week, so grab them now if you want them through the links above:
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign: Playable Character Elphelt Valentine (cross-buy PS4|PS3, it was suppose to change to priced this week, but didn't)
Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f 2nd: All Stars UI Skin, Miku & Luka UI Skin and Rin & Len & Kitty UI Skin (all cross-buy PS3|Vita)
Minecraft: Birthday Skin Pack (cross-buy PS4|PS3|Vita)
Skullgirls Encore: Eliza Character Unlock

Driveclub PS+ Edition did not come out this week. Will it come out this year?

Naw, looks at the level designs. Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Doom, all those maps had AMAZING poo poo going on. Maps now just seem to be straight tunnels to rooms, with one dead end to let you know the power up or whatever collectible is down there. New games have impressive things going on in the level, but the levels are drab and boring for the most part. The old games didn't have amazing graphics, but they had amazing adventures. Duke Nukem 3D is one of the best games because of that.

No, it doesn't work and they are flagged as unavailable for me, it looks like because I grabbed the Pro Upgrade first.

I'm going to contact support and see if they'll reverse the free "Pro Upgrade" component I prematurely claimed. I'm hoping since it's free it won't take too much convincing.

I really wish there was a reliable way to report verifiable store glitches. Dammit Yechezkel, when are you going to get mad with MVP power and get some inside contacts happening? :v:

You're not talking about the same kind of games, so the comparison falls flat - not to mention that Far Cry is an open world game, so the connection to Doom ends on being FPS.

I'd love a chance to play Blood again, but holy hell, that game was difficult. I never fair and square beat it.

True, most levels now a days are so very very boring and holy hell yes, blood was ridiculously difficult but I also kinda cheated too for the most part by playing it CO-OP. I can only hope someone someday does to it what these guys did for Duke and bring it back in all its glory.

Finally getting the hang of using a controller for Duke, still a little slow, but getting there.

I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok.
before sh*t was dumbed down for the casual gamers you would actually have to think about what direction to take when a corridor would branch out. Imagine a brownish-grey corridor branching out and you now have to make a choice about whether to go down the one that looks sort of more brown or the one that looks sort of more grey, because if you guess it wrong there will be a door with a blue, red or even yellow key card that you can't open just yet, making you turn around and go down the other corridor.

The best PSN could do was reverse the purchase of the pro pass itself as they apparently can't reverse $0 transactions :wtc:, hopefully that has a cascading effect for the free things I claimed that depended on the initial ownership.

So if anyone is going to claim the Pinball Arcade stuff it's a bit of a mess, here's what I know:

Pinball Arcade Season 1

On Vita, the "Medieval Madness and Bride of Pin-bot" Pro version is broken, if you install it you won't be able to load the tables (it thinks you're running an outdated version but there's no new version to download).

Pinball Arcade Season 2

If you're getting the Pro Upgrade, you must claim the items in the following order:

Season Pass (or Pro Season Pass)
Table Packs 15-20 (non-pro versions, should be free with the pass)
Pro upgrade (will either be free if you bought the Pro Season Pass, or priced, but basically the same price as the pro season pass directly), make sure you get this last.

Do not claim the Pro Upgrade before claiming all the Table Packs!

Map on the left there is actually from Thief II (2000), to be pedantic.

I was just purchasing the ps+ games on my phone there and I noticed that Hotline Miami appears to be free. I got it on ps+ a few months back but instead of saying "purchased" beside it, it says "free". So I dunno maybe it's free for people who don't have it.

If you "purchased" it via PS+ when it was on PS3, you automatically got it for Vita and PS4 when those versions released.

It might be the PS4 version that got added later and because it is cross-buy it shows up as free but you haven't bought it per se.
