Only prolly with the prime trilogy is that prime 1 and 2's particle effects look better on game cube. Don't ask me how the gently caress that happened just keep playing metroid prime cause it's loving powerful

Don't ask me how the gently caress that happened just keep playing metroid prime cause it's loving powerful the issue is with metroid prime 2, some of the charge beam effects are hosed up. the water distortion effects in MP1 were also removed, since in the port all 3 games are running on the Mp3 engine and mp3's water physics are more complex (it was all fuel gel and poo poo) and caused all sorts of performance issues. but, there's neon bloom in all the right places for MP1 and both games run/load a lot better so whatevs. i just wish mp2 also got the bloom treatment

Looking back it is actually pretty funny that there were people that thought Metroid: Other M wasn't going to be complete garbage. Like, Metroid Prime is one of the best games ever made and a perfect representation of what a Metroid game was supposed to be, so obviously Sakamoto was publicly spiteful of it's success and determined to make something that was different than that. If the next console Metroid isn't a first person adventure game like Prime then I will be very upset.

It was kind of a neat idea. It wasn't just a theare mode where you could watch cutscenes, all the scenes were edited to be shorter or make more sense and they dummied up gameplay for transition scenes. Too bad Other M was a big steaming pile of diarrhea from a buffalo's rear end. I would kill for something liek that in a metal gear game, perfectly edited gameplay with directorial intent.
