They also signed him for 4 years, and he is 27. They also signed Watmough for 4 years, so they're nothing if not optimistic

That assumes a contract ever gets fulfilled completely.

Jennings and the Eels should be a fun story. Meanwhile who knows what's going to happen with the Roosters, at least I can lower my expectations for 2016 now.

Apollodorus posted:Meanwhile who knows what's going to happen with the Roosters, at least I can lower my expectations for 2016 now. You've lost Maloney and Jennings, who are both good players but with noticeable weaknesses. You'll miss Maloney's kicking and organising (especially Pearce) and Jennings's explosiveness when he is in form. RTS is a huge loss though and that is easily going to hurt more than all the rest combined. Jayden Nikorima is a big signing though and he'll be important for the Roosters in time. Copley is a solid replacement centre. Joe Burgess has pretty big wraps on him but one of the SL experts might have to give a proper lowdown. He looked good in the tests and WCC last year. They're definitely weaker than last season but I don't think they'll be out of the eight, especially since they still have their tremendous forward pack.

I watch a lot of SL and Burgess is indeed a very good winger. I'm especially happy at his signing because Wigan lose his services! Maloney's kicking is not something the Roosters can do without IMO and Pearce is uneven enough that whoever pairs with him is going to have a lot of work to do to get things running smoothly in the halves. Also, my rugby league fandom is young enough that I can't really imagine Leeds without Sir Kev so I am afraid for both the teams that I follow

Wests Tigers have partnered with Beyond Blue for three years:https://www.beyondblue.org.au/media/media-releases/media-releases/wests-tigers-partner-with-beyondblue-in-new-three-year-partnership It's hard to think of a more appropriate teaming.

Warriors being good on paper means absolutely nothing. I think we are still going to rely far too much on Johnson to do all the playmaking

From what i can gather he took all the worst things rugby league players have done over the last decade and combined it into one incident. The only thing missing was stomping on someones head on the way out the party.
