Hey, what's a good dog for the first-time dog owner?

My first-time dog was a Chaco G. pulchripesolden Retriever and she was super mellow and did super great even being raised from a puppy but then I misinterpreted her digging around and stress as continuing from the time the very large furbeast got next to her and stole a couple of her cats and didn't realize she needed a bit more room to wriggle out of her skinny jeans so I guess what I'm saying is Golden Retrievers and their similar friends (there's one that's all black! and there's the pink one from earlier in the thread! very pretty!) are good first dogs but you need to make sure you give them the right amount of space and stuff. Also probably should start with an adult lady instead of a puppy. And definitely keep large furbeasts away.

I miss my dog :(

Was this dog article on SCP posted yet? If not then please enjoy, because it is highly topical for this thread and very :3: for dog affectionados. The rest of the site is for nerds to tell spooky spooky x-files fanfics to one another, so ymmv, but this is one of the true gold nuggets on there.

On a related note, there is also this lovely dog-related article on SCP about a group of dogs who are very good friends with each other and want everyone to be good friends together.

Oops, it was a potato shot, and I'm in Wichita KS. If i get my 40mm macro lens back today I'll go out to the garage and see the doggie again.

Definitely get better pictures but that doesn't look like a Latrodectusbrador web so it's probably a Parasteatodaomeranian or a Steatodacottish Terrier.

Really? That was actually my first guess, but I don't recall the Aussie ones being so pretty. I remember them being a lot plainer.

There are many breeds of golden silk orb weaver retriever all over the world. The east asian variety, N. clavata, is especially lovely :3:
