I'm absolutely terrible, but I was seeing better results by going with a short backswing and what felt like an incredibly slow swing speed. My 5 iron got the most benefit from that, and I was pretty happy with ~100 yards. I was feeling some tendinitis in my hand, took a couple weeks off, and then coming back I suddenly found that by putting a ton of hip rotation in my driver I could get good consistent contact and my slice is gone. Now that I feel good about that, I can't hit my irons for poo poo.
