I mean, you're not really supposed to like them, they're horrible people like seinfeld, but that's where the humour comes from. edit: I remember back in the day the show tended to be a bit inscrutable to people until they hit pier pressure (ep 8 or 9 or so) and then it totally clicked and they could go back and watch previous episodes with the same level of enjoyment. so get to that one at least.
