If you aren't just grabbing the first weapons you can find and going on the warpath I don't know what to tell you. Unless they implement Rust-style respawning there doesn't seem to be much reason to settle down and build a house. Maybe a nice murder car instead. Seriously it is surprising how easy it is to kill a fully kitted out person with a butter knife if you manage to get in melee distance and they are alone. Pubbies rely on their guns way too much and it gets th killed as long as you just rush them with a melee weapon.
