Big Bad Voodoo Lou posted:I read 1Q84, my first Murakamu novel, semi-recently, and I was thinking "Lynchian" the entire time. If I liked it, would I enjoy the others? Hard Boiled Wonderland feels like a mix between David Lynch and Terry Gilliam. I haven't read IQ84 yet but other stuff by Murakami definitely has a Lynch-ish feel while also not feeling derivative.
