zakharov posted:How could you not mention Ireland defeating Pakistan in 2006 followed by the coach turning up dead? India aren't bad at cricket. They have a lot of talent coming through (as you would expect with the population) . they like most countries (south Africa probably the exception) don't travel well. Home field advantage matters quite a lot in cricket. Most of the bad team talk towards the big three is just embarrassment that they basically took over cricket and doomed it to eternal series against each other while the rest of the cricketing world is left with the scraps. Besides England. They are a bad team.

Has Ali ever toured Australia or south Africa. He's hit some beautiful sixes but he'd have been caught out on any ground in Australia besides the one he's on. He seems to be struggling with the bounce a bit.

Why do England have such abysmal odi all time run scorers. England's number one would be Australia's 13th or so. Shane Watson would hold England's record by 400 runs.

69m is far too small on square. Cummins beat Ali twice with bounce and was rewarded with top edged sixes.

Right that's a huge technical flaw in Ali's game. He struggles with the bouncing ball. Hope he tours here with an ashes side.

I think its fair enough to protect the fielding side but on small ground like this one its taking the piss. This pitch isn't that bad as an aside. Bell is just a genius when he's in form. Plenty of lift in the deck. I'd have still batted first personally.

That's a weird "trigger movement" that Taylor has. The problem with that initial movement is when he faces someone really quick. I don't like stuffing around with a kids technique but I'd have coached that out of him. Its weird that he got through the system with an initial step away.

Its not a bad bet. The Australian batting lineup is flimsy as heck.

England are bowling too straight to Smith. I know it looks as if a good straight one would finish him off but I'm pretty sure he walks across to encourage teams to bowl on his stumps because he doesn't do it every time he bats.

I was reading an interesting article about Smith. Apparently when he dropped out of school he was considering becoming English (his mother is English) because he thought he would have been able to make a better living from county cricket had he failed to make the step up to international cricket.

Just reading the guardian comment section on an article about sledging. You English really hate Warner lol. Its like you guys think he is some barbarian that Cricket Australia keeps in a little cage to be released on match day. He is a bit of an oaf but hes not that bad.

He is the Australian version of James Anderson.

# ¿ Jan 23, 2015 15:14 |

That goes without saying. I don't care about sledging but the umpires should tell the biggest and more blatant offenders to pipe down. Also I find it hard to believe that Warner didn't understand sharma. He has spent enough time in India to pick up the swears. Hence why he said in his non apology that he couldn't speak Hindi theoretically. I don't think Warner is as much a racist as he is an oaf that was just trying to wind sharma up but he should have been suspended. I guess its the mixed messages the ICC send. David Warner makes millions of dollars a year. He is very likely to have life time earnings from cricket when he retires well into the 50 million territory. So fining him is pointless. Its just an arsehole tax for millionaire idiots because the ICC actually wants players to sledge one another.

Might be an idea to play Smith at three in test cricket. His technique might have him in trouble against a ball swinging all over the place but he's better than Watson against all bowling.
