So glad this show is back, the Flint and Silver pairing is awesome.

Bit disappointed that Ned Low's speech to Eleanor came off a little flat, I get what they were going for that he's some sort of harsh pragmatic monster but the way the lines were delivered were so monotone. Hope the actor gets some better stuff this season, he was my favourite side character of Vikings.

Also Vane seemed a bit too chilled and nonchalant for what he went through last season, must be hanging out with those hippy burning man pirates he brought back a bit too much.

Still two minor quibbles aside, it was an awesome return loved the tension on the Man O War raid it was done amazingly.

Fingers crossed for Scottish fruit tits captain to make a return soon.

Ned Low, we hardly knew you.

I will say my issues from the first episode abated, he showed more character in the other two. Again it's a shame one of my favourite bit part actors goes out too soon.

I'm glad Vane dealt with him as soon as he did. That's the nice thing about Black Sails and a lot of TV post GoT, plots move a lot faster. They could have stretched out Low for the whole season but they didn't and I think the show is better for it.

I think we're seeing a Flint/Vane heel/face double turn which is great.

I think regarding Eleanor, she's torn between two posturing alpha males but she learns lessons that they don't. Flint and Vane are both entrenched in their mind sets and that will be the death of both of them. Eleanor has shown capacity to learn from her mistakes which makes me think she will get out of this alive and successful.

Wondering if maybe Rackham will join Flint's return to the Urca as an accompanying ship, he needs a big haul to leverage crew so maybe he is desperate enough to do it.

So eager for the next episode, hope they go full cannon porn again.
