The Koopalings are jealous of Bowser Jr. because he gets more attention (and cool doomsday devices) from Bowser so they frame him for some really nasty crime (picking the Koopa royal vault clean or smth) and Bowser gets pissed and banishes him. So then Bowser Jr. has to fight his way across the Koopalings'... fiefdoms?? before he confronts Bowser and they beat the poo poo out of each other and then have a heartwarming father-son bonding moment

people say nintendo needs new ips but if you actually stop and list out all the nintendo IPs its a loving insane amount and yet no other company gets flak for not constantly coming out with new crap
