Put in an hour or so last night, I remember too many of the early puzzles but I'm sure Rubacava is going to kick my rear end like the first time around. You can hit Backspace and it goes between new and old rendering styles which is a pretty cool reminder how crazy jagged the original release was: Original Jagged  New Hotness  Cool poo poo: -Developer's commentary is pretty neat -Multiple render modes means if you can't bear borders you can stretch things out -Actually runs Grim Fandango on a machine made post 9-11 Not-as-cool poo poo: -If you don't want a stretched window, you're stuck with borders. -Some visual bugs, I've seen deformed mouths, floating objects, and invisible models. I expect they'll be patched up. -Some gamefreezing bugs, I've had to crash out the game and reload twice. -No autosave so hope you've been diligent when your gamefreezing bug comes along, maybe wait for a patch or two?

You forgot to mention that in the new render mode, some set-pieces have a polygonal mesh for Manny's shadow to be cast upon, which is very nice. Although pretty much everything pre-rendered was left as is (like your boss yelling at you to get in his office after meeting Meche, which looks compressed to hell). But I got a secret achievement for threatening the pigeons with Robert Frost so it's all good.

I probably won't play this game until it's free on Playstation Plus or whatever. I don't want to pay money for it but it would be nice to revisit Grim Fandango I guess.
