So, this game would be pretty fun... if it had a loving deployable spawn point system implemented. Something simple like a beacon that you can set or just placing down a bed. Otherwise, holy gently caress is exploring planets a massive chore right now.

I loved Starbound before it actually came out, back when it was on Kickstarter and they promised the universe. I still don't fully remember what the gently caress I was so excited about, I think I was still coming off of post-Terraria bliss maybe?

it is hilarious that this thread shits all over the game because the combat update was probably the best thing to ever happen to the game and it's like 300% more playable now and it's nearing classic status, this is probably the best science fiction game created in the past 15 years.

I don't claim to love the combat system either, it does its job and I had more fun than anything resembling frustration with it. Never had any multiplayer issues either, the only issue I ever had was I lost power while playing one day and it corrupted my save but my friend and I remembered my load out and so I just used an editor to get all my stuff back.
