They also changed some of the Prime 2 bosses to be less tedious, there's an extra easy difficulty for each game, there are visual changes like widescreen, slightly higher res textures, etc, the music for the older games is longer and less compressed, etc.

I think the main thing that set MP apart from everything else was that the environments felt less cut-and-paste than other big 3D games of the day, especially compared to something like Halo which had lots of terrible samey levels towards the end.

Abu Dave posted:Im playing this game right now for the first time and its real good but the combat is pointless; it's easier to just run past them and the enemies always respawn in the same places its kinda silly how reverred this game is but its got cool puzzles. It gets a little better in MP3 but it's still pretty basic. I was excited for Other M because it seemed like it'd be the first 3D Metroid with meaningful combat but not only is it baby combat for idiots but a lot of it is unskippable so you can't just run past the enemies, you have to perform your sick takedown moves each and every time. I'm starting to think it may not have been a very good game.
