I don't have much trouble finding 2E and even 4E sizes of shoes or boots for the most part. Are your feet even wider than that, or is it different in the States?

Also, I personally find that sandals are pretty much the worst for my feet. They are generally too narrow, and left foot has a weird curve that seems to make it impossible to wear a thong. As for normal shoes, the toe-boxes tend to be fine; the pinch point is always around the balls of my feet.
