Look into minimal/barefoot shoes. They helped me with my knees and posture, and will assist you with relying on your foot's natural ability to absorb shocks (using more of the ball of your feet and less of the heel), without the obvious disadvantages of going barefoot. They'll also give you more space for your toes to spread out, which helped me as well.
