Pretty much every single good game last year was "well this part is pretty bad, but the rest of the game makes up for it so that it's still fun"

I think there was only like 5 really stand-out games last year. Bayo 2, Dark Souls 2, Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Shovel Knight, and Smash Bros 4. Only one of them was a new franchise, which blows. And really, Shadow of Mordor was average as gently caress. It's just the Batman: Arkham games set in LOTR. Short as all hell, too. Good thing I didn't pay full price for it. Oh, forgot Divinity: Original Sin. That was good.

i just remembered that Story of Seasons comes out next month and i'm super stoked about it. plus of course this friday; N3DS XL, Monster Hunter 4, all sorts of goodies. it is a good time to be a gamer. albion online is fun so far and i'm excited to see that done someday but it's still like a year out so i am reserving my hypes for nearer pastures
