The Devil Tesla posted:The earliest possible moment where we could have gotten a season 3 was just a month ago (we finally have enough manga, and enough lead for the production to plan) and the TV staff is working on another project (the adaptation of fantastic manga My Love Story!!). And, unlike most manga adaptions, it never had the manga publisher on the production committee so it's not tied to what they wish to promote. There could be another season as soon as 2016, and it's not unheard of for new seasons to pop up years down the line. Think of the new Durarara airing right now, or the new Haruhi coming this year. Wait. I just spent five minutes trying to find news of this, can you link me?

Endorph posted:Yeah! Chihaya tries to blow through everything on sheer reflex, but the show actually gets into how that both helps her and hurts her depending on the situation. its really cool stuff. Chihayafuru amazes me as being at Akagi levels of detail of both psychoanalysis and gameplay. The Devil Tesla posted:It's not really that exciting.

Cao Ni Ma posted:I watched last years Queen match and it was such a massive curb stomp, I felt sorry for the other girl. First match was ok but the second one was so one sided you'd think the woman just broke down mentally. Is there a way to watch them properly in the West? It'd be nice to watch the official games but with translated commentary. e: Oh, I wonder if they use highspeed camera's to film them?

I missed that scene, that's amazing if that pre-dated Chiahayafuru.

Endorph posted:karuta is a cultural thing in japan. it predates chihayafuru by literally hundreds of years. No I meant that specific reference in Konata, hence the "that scene", I'm well aware of how far back when Hundred Poems dates to.
