People on Reddit and I believe in the 3DS thread here on SA have mentioned getting shipping notifications, and I know I've seen people say they've been charged, as early as Saturday.

GAME in the UK ships early because they promise on-release delivery, so sometimes stuff gets here a day or two early. Gamestop has a UK division but I've never used it because everyone complains about them.

GameStop charged me for a n3DS but it hasn't shipped yet. Luckily I ordered the game from Amazon and they usually get me packages a day early so I'm going to be able to play on my old 3DS at least.

Oh, I meant to be a little more specific. I'm talking about MH4U players being able to play with MH4G (JP) players thanks to Nintendo region-locking systems.

Offline mode has usually had less powerful monsters than online mode and if you sink time into online mode you can clear offline mode easily.

Listen to my tale of Gamestop fuckery, ye nerds, and tremble. When I heard about the Collector's Edition [not the special N3DS] back in October, I immediately went to Gamestop and attempted to pre-order one (I thought Gamestop was the only retailer accepting pre-orders for it, stupid me.) They told me it was too early to pre-order, but it's never too early to pre-buy! So I paid the full amount, left with a gigantic receipt, blithely happy in my naivety. This week, after hearing on the previous thread about orders not coming in on time, I attempt to get info on my order. Lo, I did not pay for same-day shipping (which I for some reason didn't realize needed to be specified), and thus it will be delivered to me sometime over the next two weeks. I attempt to change that order, give them more money to ship it faster, but their orders are "set in stone." I can't even cancel it, I have to look up my original order number, located somewhere on that ancient receipt, and return it once it is delivered to me. Clearly I have to hunt monsters at the FIRST POSSIBLE MOMENT I CAN or my life is hollow, so which of these options seems the least loving stupid: 1.) Buying the game retail on day one from anywhere but Gamestop, keeping THAT receipt, waiting for my special edition, switching out the game inside of that for the one I've been playing and return the new game with the old receipt, 2.) Ordering the special edition on Amazon and getting proper shipping, then returning the tainted Gamestop version when it arrives, or 3.) Third thing I haven't thought of yet. There are far more important things to worry about I'm aware, but gently caress me if I can't kill monsters at the nearest available opportunity.
