Can you go from Cow directly to another animal form, or do you need to uncurse yourself first?

Man this game is all about gear isn't it? Found a pair of gloves that has 25% chance to do an extra 45 damage with a Cows basic attack.

Now I can actually feel useful even though I have to turn off sound effects due to every attack making an annoying moo. Do the other animals forms have annoying sound effects too?
