I don't think I would ever actually use node for a server of any kind, but i do like node and the whole FE tooling scene...it's a mess and it has warts and the fashions change every other hour, sure, but npm/node make a lot of things real easy and nice for FE tooling for sass/react/es6 type things and handling JS libraries I think.

I'm also thinking electron might be a cool thing; it seems ok-ish for atom and slack's windows (and other OSs?) desktop clients at least.

I guess what I'm saying is I like node and it is cool but please keep javascript in the FE*, thanks :)

* actually, prerendering a JS thing on a node server I can see being useful in scenarios; i haven't personally ran across them yet though.
