I spent ages modelling some realistic sounding stuff, but decided to distort the hell out of it all anyway. I used rp-distort and coldfire distbit (an old free plugin i've been getting into the last few weeks, I think its a bit of a well kept secret for a lot of techno producers). I'm not really happy with the little final fantasy-esque choir bit in the middle, so I'll probably change that. Mastering: anyone doing it, or just do it ourselves?
