Graic Gabtar posted:Tough one to answer, but I'll try to answer it as best as I can. Do it yourself and you win. Every employer does it and everyone is too scared to spend becasue they don't know if the next pay check is comming and the economy dries up and everyone looses. So the solution is to not allow anyone to do it.

Mr Chips posted:Except that the Shanghai ranking doesn't seem to look at teaching at all, and it's only 30% on the THE rankings (even then it's just a survey on perception of prestige, ffs). Anything that includes education is going to favour small universities like Cal Tech which only admit high achieving students, so Australian unis will struggle due to their relatively large and generalist student populations. So you are saying a league table without the participants being in a league with defined rules on the table positions is just bulshit. I am shocked. Shocked I tell you.

It returned Level 5 when I entered my stuff but I would like to have that confirmed. Also, is the minimum wage what I am supposed to be paid BEFORE allowances? Or do allowances figure in and its just the final figure that counts towards minimum wage? Join a union.

On the latest in the Thompson affair. What are they suing for? If it is to recover the funds he was convicted of stealing, why not do that as part of the sentencing phase of the trial? Also what does fair work have to do with it, did he steal from them? If he was convicted of stealing in the magistrates court, then shouldn't the same venue deal with civil claims about the same matters at least? It makes no sense.
