I was looking at that auction wondering whether the cabinets full of assorted nuts and bolts would be a good idea. Though it would be cool to get the display chassis with no engine, drop in an ecoboost.

Just found out I've paid off my student loan this month. Emoticons cannot express.

Literally just. I was emailing my mortgage broker, he asked for the balance so I sucked it up and phoned them (at 7:30pm) and I paid it off this month. That made my calculations a poo poo-load better.

Okay, I was just wondering if the speakers you see with an inverted cone over them to "spread the sound" worked or were just pretty bullshit. And a deep cycle marine battery sounds like it'll cut into the beer capacity :v:

I need to measure the case up to see which speakers will fit on the sides, and get a voltage regulator so I can use my ryobi batteries but those little amps look like they'll fit the bill. Then I can cut the foam to fit bottles or just fill it with ice.

Minis had rubber cone suspension, bump stops are rubber and conical, this post makes sense.

If the number of cars you have prevents you working on your cars, you have too many cars. Strip one or more for parts to fix the others, or build a shop. Or a bigger shop.

I guess the conclusion of this stream of consciousness is that you can never have too many cars, but you can have too many cars for the space you currently have.

I'm now really digging the idea of a slammed rwd-only defender double cab with a lush interior. This is what's wrong with my brain.

The place I'm trying to buy has space for 2-3 cars and a single garage. I was genuinely trying to figure out it parking a landrover on the 45' roof of the garage was allowed.
