Didn't the cartoon for Hamtaro air on Toonami? I remember that being the case which is rather hilarious when you consider that Toonami is better known for action cartoons.

True, but it did seem more like a slice of life comedy series then an adventure one, especially when you consider that it was in the same block as series such as Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin (though admittedly all three of the aforementioned examples did have comedic moments).
