Suspicious posted:i remember in "i, robot" someone says to will smith "nice shoes" and he answers "vintage 2004". i'm used to product placement but i had never seen actors actually acknowledge it in-character people talk about this one a lot but it's one of the few examples that actually contributes to both character development and plot. and black dudes always gotta keep their shoe game fresh to death. it makes sense to have that scene, like, it had genuine narrative value. were they supposed to make up a shoe brand. I thought the Audi product placement was way dumber e: oops didn't realize this was on page 5
