As I've been catching up to the LP, I noticed two things that I haven't seen anyone else point out: 1. From the ambush video, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY'S ARM???  2. Wei Shen has a fan! One fun thing about this DLC. You have all the cop upgrades unlocked from the start, that mean you can pull a shotgun out of the trunk of your police cruiser anytime you want. It both trivializes the game and opens up a lot more possibilities for Have fun.

I can't quite remember but I'm pretty sure some magical things happen if you decide to hold the taser on somebody for way longer than any human should. It wouldn't be ok if I just happened to be remembering right and you didn't show off what exactly I think happens.

Glad to see I'm not the only person who laughed themselves silly at Wei getting busted to traffic cop; it's so drat fitting a fate for a cop who's done a better job blowing up Hong Kong than the bad guys of the DLC.CzarChasm posted:I want more adventures of "Wei Shen: coercive insurance salesman" I can't think he'd do well selling insurance against all the things he does to people, he'd have to avoid hurting them afterwards in order to make any money at the job. I don't think they explode or anything if that's what you're implying, although it's amusing that you get extra face bar for the first 2 seconds you keep tasering them but it stops after that and tasering them for 10 seconds straight doesn't even do any more damage.

I really enjoyed YotS... I loved its fluffiness, and it's so much fun to play Wei Bad Cop while on beat patrol. A neat thing to mess around with is going into slow-motion during bomb disposals, by aiming while you bail out, since you can magically summon shotguns out of the ubiquitous police cars.

I'm afraid I've already recorded and edited everything for the episodes, but for the record, the taser effect when held for too long simply keeps them twitching and sends up a few bits of steam before killing them outright when you release. Obviously, no-one is backing Wei in the hopes he'll get himself killed. Their hopes are in vain. Oh, fun thing. Wait in an exploding car some time. Although you get a mission failed screen and have to do it over, as long as his health bar is reasonably, Wei Shen can walk off being in the middle of a car bombing.

BTW, I swear I remember reading somewhere they couldn't really manage tear gas effects, so they put the bad guys in masks and just assume you'd shoot them in the face with the tear gas grenades (which, to be fair, is pretty much playing as intended for this game).LobsterMobster posted:Just a regular day in Hong Kong Wow, that is a lot of people flying in front of that car.
