not strictly a miniature but I don't think there's a thread for cosplay stuff? got back into painting recently and had a go at turning a toy gun into Snake's M1911 from snake eater before:  after:  pretty fun painting something bigger than a toy soldier for a change. Would highly recommend if you're getting back into painting and want something that isn't too fiddly to start with.
