Still, it's really good advice when playing Shadowrun in general. Always geek the mage first, alongside "shoot straight, conserve your ammo, and never make a deal with a dragon". This being super important because mages are the ultimate wild cards- it's impossible to know what they can do and how hard they can do it until they do.
