EH?!?!?!
My 120GB Zune I've had for a decade is on it's way out I think, looking up "Zune Read Error" doesn't instill any hope. Sucks stand alone players are a rarity now because I don't need what is basically another phone just to play my music.

That FiiO thing looks alright and you can put FLAC on it so that's cool.

e: Crisis averted for now.

I lost my MP3 player recently (fell out of my pocket when I was distracted :rip:) and I'm looking to get a new one, but the only one I can find at local stores for <$100 is some brand I've never heard of and has aggergate of two stars on amazon.

So, any suggestions? I don't want to spend too much on it, and mostly just care about reliability (a clip would be good, though).

There was a few SanDisk MP3 players with clips on Amazon but the ones in the ~$50 range were sort of mixed on reviews, and I've never used a SanDisk product before.

Depends on how much storage you need. Could go with the thread recommendation of picking up one of those cheap android phones and using that.

I can recommend the Nokia Lumia 520 as an mp3 phone. Just drag and drop, and it has good sound if you use IEMs. 64GB is the maximum card size though.
