I didn't get a smartphone until late 2011 so I was on the MP3 player train for a long time. My first was a 1GB Creative Zen Nano Plus, but I also went through a first-gen Zune, Zune HD, Sansa Clip+, and second- and third-gen iPod touches before finally joining the future and getting a phone that could play music. I don't have an MP3 collection anymore thanks to the ease of streaming, but sometimes I miss having a lovingly curated, obsessively tagged library.
