Yeah, concept episodes only work if not every episode is another concept episode.

This strikes me as more a loose approach to continuity than anything- Britta's character changed quite a bit from the outset and "may be a molestation survivor" was just something they threw out once and never pursued. That I don't even remember what episode it's from may be telling.

It came up repeatedly in the first three seasons, it wasn't just a one time gag. If I remember right, the last reference was in the final episode of Season 3 where Evil Abed "therapizes" her.

Pierce... deceased :(

e: This was a funny episode. If there's a criticism I could make it's that I wish Annie wouldn't always get her way by being pointlessly moralizing and histrionic. I swear they've leaned on that character beat too many times.

And I think Britta is receiving more hits because now Troy isn't there (he was too the "straight idiot" in lots of gags).

I like how the discussion about the "escapegoat" in the Schmitty episode ended up coming to pass. No Pierce and Troy lightning rods to be the butt of the jokes means all that lightning goes to Britta.

Another really good episode. Jim Rash killed it. The Dean describing his sexuality as a magician pulling a neverending multicoloured hankerchief out of his sleeve is one of the funniest metaphors I've heard. Moreover, Jeff and the Dean's wordless coversation in reaction to Frankie's revelation was the biggest laugh of the episode.

I'm impressed how tangental Jeff has been so far. None of the episode have really focused on him, which is a nice change of pace. It's given the cast the opportunity to interact in interesting ways and allowed the new characters to assimilate much more readily into the group. Elroy and Frankie have both had storylines or significant interactions with all of the main cast members now and they feel right at home in the gang.

Yeah, I expect the fact that Jeff is a teacher will change the dynamic of paintball this season. I don't think he'll be allowed to participate (and I don't expect he'll enroll just so that he can play like Chang did in Season 1), which will present the opportunity to deconstruct the paintball game and the catastrophic damage it deals to the school from the perspective from someone outside the game.

Keith Dudemeister is eerily similar to Joel McHale. Also I can't believe how much mileage they get out of the corporate shilling as a basis for comedy. It's hilarious.

Jeff's psychotic break should have been built up just a little bit more and kind of straddled dark-for-the-sake-of-dark territory what with him trying to murder Abed, but the comedy in this episode was great. Improvise pockets!

Despite a slump in the middle, Season 6 was strong and ended fantastically.

Reflex ranking of seasons is 1 > 2 > 3 = 6 > 5 > 4. Might be subject to change after careful consideration.

I'm sure I'm missing something here.

Community, for five seasons, was a comedy show. Season four was considered the worst season because it was the shittiest and least funny. Season six just Goddamn stopped being funny halfway in and never got its jokes back. The finale to season six showed a whole bunch of possible versions of 'season seven,' none of which are even funny let alone comedies in their own rights.

Where the gently caress are the torches and pitchforks?

Absuuuuurd reaction!

Wolves?! They're biological killing machines. They aren't hunted. They don't give a gently caress what we do. They've been around for five billion more years than us. They've got a mouth full of weapons. They've got six legs.
