Zedd posted:Out of all the weird things they did with characters over the seasons, I still think the fact that they made Shirley and Andre break up again as a throwaway line sucks the most. I loved all his scenes. Troy interrogating him about Halloween, and his angry reaction to Troy and Abed's seemingly sardonic "normalcy"

Seriously, Annie may be controlling but rules are necessary to keep Abed in a bottle. I was impressed by how the prisoner arc shifted movie genres so effortlessly, culminating in a romance movie STOP THE WEDDING scene.

Jagermonster posted:Actors pretending to be bad at acting in a shoot within a tv show or movie just isn't funny.* It's tedious. It's bad. Movies and television need to retire that trope ASAP. Not a great episode. I feel similarly. I have trouble with the lethal weapon 5 episodes of always sunny because of this. Maybe it's because I've been in improv classes before and it makes me feel cringe-y when people are trying to be funny without a script. Scripted scriptlessness and rehearsed awkwardness are even worse. I laughed like crazy at the green three for some reason though. And the rest of the season is strong so I can forgive something not hitting me the right way.

dead in real life posted:Wow, you just made me realize why this episode felt a little weird to me, though I still enjoyed it a lot. I couldn't put my finger on it before but the way they depicted the insularity of the group and their lack of self-awareness felt so much like Always Sunny to me -- more than Community ever has before. Especially the part where they obliviously talk about how they're really "nailing" this wedding. I think you could take most of the script post-wedding arrival, add some goddammits, and it wouldn't be out of place in an IASIP episode. Yeah, Jeff was channeling Dennis's smarmy public charisma, Britta was being so Sweet Dee it was crazy. Not sure who everyone else was. Chang = Charlie?

HD DAD posted:I thought it was because Dan refused to do it after he actually watched season 4? I can't even imagine what it's like to see your show after it's gone off the rails for a bit. It must be like when you see your best school friend, only now it's two years after high school and he's still acting like that and you're trying to tell them "that was fine then, but you have to grow up" but it just doesn't take.

Sexual assault should never be made light of and i dont care if standing up to creeps like you gets me labeled as a troll or not. I dont know about the rest of you, but people like this need to be shown that their behavior will NOT be tolerated. What I told you I would watch Alison Brie read the phone book... is that okay? Still too intimate?
