Reddit for Chirpy was in the last thread, but if you're new you'll start hating the repetitive chirps. They also provide the source through GitHub so you can modify it to scrape whatever you want if you hate Reddit: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=408705348 It's a user configurable mod that scrapes hot threads from specified subreddits which will then be chirped. Hot threads on Reddit churn really quickly on the bigger subreddits, so you won't be seeing the same chirps over and over. If you only want in-universe chirps set it up for just http://www.reddit.com/r/chirpit/. If you want everybody to be a psychopath set it up for http://www.reddit.com/r/nocontext and http://www.reddit.com/r/shitcrusaderkingssay. If you want them to say weird things use http://www.reddit.com/r/showerthoughts.

Roadie posted:The game really needs to have some sort of randomized lifespan for cims. It seems like it wouldn't be too hard to generate a random death date for each cim based on actuarial tables or whatever.

Baronjutter posted:So apparently people have been digging into all the game's stats such as there's some pretty sweeping "realism" mods coming out. Some completely gut the leveling up system and add in all sorts of interesting new stats the features. The downside is that it seems all the people technically literate enough to code this know gently caress all about cities or game balance and are just adding tons of "realism" without any thought on gameplay or balance. Welcome to the world of modding. Skyrim had a lot of slap fights, and a lot of mods had extra undocumented features. Want a cool sword? It's in the unlocked chest filled with 255 of every item in the game. Also, everybody is nude and has a three foot long floppy penis. If I had any talent or intelligence, I would make an amazing mod everybody wants to use. And then, one day, for no reason, add a vagina to all of the cars.

The CimCopter person is making progress. There's collision detection on buildings! Also gives hope for Streets of CimCity. http://www.reddit.com/r/CitiesSkylines/comments/30ghvj/wip_collision_detection_with_the_ground_and/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkZcQNiRDeU quote:I started this a few days ago and posted about it here: http://www.reddit.com/r/CitiesSkylines/comments/2ztxca/anyone_else_remember_simcopter_heres_a_cities/[1] . Since then I've been hard at work figuring out how to import 3D models and get collision detection to work. This post's just a demo of a nightly build!

Airconswitch posted:Kelly cartoons are a satirical feature from the satirical publication "The Onion". Sometimes we get to learn about his life under the guise of a political cartoon. His dad left the family out of the blue one day, he was kicked out of the house and became homeless, he married a woman he hates and had kids that never talk to him, and now he's divorced and angry. Edit: A recent cartoon showed he wanted to make children's books rather than be a political cartoonist. You can see all of The Onion's totally real political cartoons here. http://www.theonion.com/graphic/sun-burned-50985
