1. What is your primary form of transportation - car, motorcycle, bicycle, train, bus, taxi, Uber, Lyft, walking (or other)? Bicycle/Bus/Train I take lyft occasionally too. 2. How many vehicles do you have? 1 (just the bike, though, so that's more like 0.5 of a vehicle) 3. For current vehicle owners - did you buy new, buy used, or do you lease? used (craigslist bike) 4. What brand vehicle do you drive? Strida 5. For owners - what was the purchase price of your vehicle, and how long have you owned it? $450 6. How much do you spend annually on transportation (cab, bus, train-fare/payments/insurance/fuel)? about $40/month on public transit costs, probably about the same or somewhat more per month on lyft costs. I try to minimize the amount of times I use lyft because it's a lot more expensive than the bus, but buses are obviously slow and sometimes I'm in a hurry. 7. How much do you spend annually on maintenance for your vehicle? About 50 bucks. This year I bought a new tire and replaced the inner tubes a bunch of times at 5 bucks a pop 8. How far is your commute to work? 1.2 miles 10. If you use public transportation - explain why you do not use a vehicle I never got around to buying a car, and now that I live in San Francisco I'd rather deal with the hassle of taking public transit everywhere than the hassle of finding a place to park everywhere 11. What country do you live in? USA, San Francisco 12. What is your gross annual income? >$110k I apparently spend about 1000 bucks a year on transporation not owning a car, which is a little sobering.
