How much do you spend annually on transportation (cab, bus, train-fare/payments/insurance/fuel)? ~$900/yr insurance. ~$600/yr ($50/mo) gas. ~$150/yr registration/smog/whatnot. 7. How much do you spend annually on maintenance for your vehicle? I haven't tracked this well, but looking through Mint it's probably an average of $400/yr. I had one big maintenance job (rebuilt alternator + replaced belts) that raises the average. 8. How far is your commute to work? 15.9 miles, but I get to work from home twice a week. 9.
