kb+m for anything resembling 3rd person melee game is just loving retarded, I really didn't understand why people complained about dark souls having poo poo kb+m support, it should have none.
Since 3rd person melee gameplay mostly happen on a 2d plane, and since you can see the enemies that are closely behind you or on the sides, It's much faster and precise to move a joystick in a given direction to instantly turn your character there than slowly moving the camera in the direction you want and pressing W (up) or something. If you use the AWDS keys to do the same you would only have 8 directions to choose from instead of virtually infinite with the analog. I. Hope. That. Helps.

gamepads are only good for platformers
