durrr im gonna spend an hour or two researching lifehacks that can make charts for me about how much i didnt write because i'm a baby that can only write like a max of 4k words in a loving month also i'm gonna brag about how my keyboard doesn't have labelled keys, but then admit later that i can't loving use certain keyboard shortcuts because i don't know where the keys are lmfao

We've officially checked in with Capntastic, Dr. K, Entenzahn, Chthonic Bell, killfast37, twist, red tonic, morning bell, crabrock and of course me. What's everyone else doing? Well I know Systran is writing MLP fanfic, and Muffin has put words toward his short story for Beneath Ceaseless skies. But I have to assume the rest of you lot are uselessly chewing cud with a disturbingly vacant look in your eyes. Prove me wrong

I managed to hit my goal of 640k words for my story, and anyone who wants a copy just has to ask. I'm not super-comfortable with posting it publicly just yet -- it needs editing in the worst way -- but I don't mind showing it on a person-to-person basis. I'd do more, but I'm going through a lot of crap right now -- I have a little under a week to find somewhere to live and it's not leaving me a lot of time or patience to write.

Been working on about 3 different projects because I lack the ability to focus on just one idea. Two of them will probably be combined into a series later or something since I stole my earth apocalypse scenario from one to use in the other. Which wasn't the original plan but I just switch my brain off and wrote. So I'll worry about making them congruent later. Almost at the 2500 mark between the 3 of them. I think I'll be happy if I can get just one of them to the 4000 mark by the 30th. I'll probably get the shits and start again on something COMPLETELY different a day before deadline like I've done with some of my Thunderdome entries in the past.

Worked out a few of the problems we discussed in the chat, too. Most importantly "why doesn't she just go to one of the 50+ small presses in NYC"

I'm down but the only problem is I've written 45k words total and it might be kind of tough for you to crit just the last 5000 this month without reading the stuff that comes before. Some of the chapters I've written in the past are after my current efforts but you have to read about 40k to get to the end of my newest stuff. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll PM you a docs link. So yeah, did my 5000 words for the month. Definitely keeping this up next month.

As of now I'm at 18,919/20,000 for the month. This has been my most productive month. Next month I should be able to finish my book, and continue doing weekly TD entries. I'll wrap up my last 1081 words tomorrow. I'm preemptively raising the stakes to 25k for May.

Might I suggest a new thread for editing? Sure, it's one thing to write 5k or 50k or 500k, but that's all just random hunks of marble waiting to be carved. We already have NaNoWriMo -- why not NaNoEdMo instead?
