So uh before Shaq Thompson was drafted the Panthers had 18 1st round picks. 9 of them were Offensive players and 9 of them were Defensive. What I am saying is that I can out Mel Kiper Mel Kiper and predict Carolina will draft an offensive player next year in the 1st round.

Three were all pro, and the other was Thomas Davis who might as well have been. What I'm saying is Shaq is going to rule wherever he actually ends up playing.

There were a decent number of drafts having him drafted late 1st round. It's possible it's a reach, but Fiz is right, if they make the luxury pick they plan on having him learn everything Thomas Davis can teach him before they take Davis out to the farm. The guy is basically the 2015 version of Thomas Davis coming out of college. And quite honestly the idea of 3 linebackers who can be pretty good in coverage is gonna be awesome. I just don't think the Panthers go the memo that Tony Gonzales and Jimmy Graham are no longer in the division.
