That's one way to get ahead in life, but nothing beats an axe to the face.
I didn't read anything about Ciel Nosurge, jumped into Ar Nosurge and felt lost. As I played more of the game, I came to grasp the story better, but I still felt one step behind. It doesn't help that a lot of the talking is just filler and boring, just ended up skipping most of the text.

Gameplay was weird and unappealing. Even the mindless battle system of Qoqa felt more involved.

I did feel a little nostalgic when I heard Johnny Yong Bosch voicing a JRPG protagonist again.
