Yahoo was the most popular search engine back in 1999 and there was also this other search engine named AltaVista, if I wasn't wrong, which I sometimes used. No heretical word called "Googling" since Google hasn't existed..

Although I didn't use ICQ, I remember using MSN a lot since it was the chatting software used by many of the forumers and clan which I used to visit. There was also mIRC, but due to its "dark reputation" as being nest for hackers and alike (being able to track you, steal your CC, etc), I tended to stay away from it as far as possible.
