When I was a kid, we only had milk or ice water. Now, my wife and I just have water with dinner. My kids always have milk. I don't know if the calcium helps, but I know my great aunt never drank milk as a kid and she was very weak at the end of her life compared to my grandfather who was as strong as a bull until he hit about 91. He drank whole milk every day until he died.

She still lived into her mid 90's though so I don't know that it matters. My other grandfather only drank wine, Jaegermeister, and ginger ale. He made it to 81 before bone cancer took him. He could have lived another decade if not for that. He was hale until about a week before he died.

Thanks for the story about how your great second aunt was ride or die.

Yea for real, I cant beleive someone would drink something as thinck as milk in the summer.

Towns ending in the suffix of -wich are called that to denote places of saltmaking, mostly through elaborate systems of evaporating pools. To be more concise, it's derived from wic, the Anglo-Saxon word for "dwelling" or "fortified place" as well as the Old English wic (wyck, wych) meaning "bay," denoting brine springs and wells.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/-wich_town

Salt is actually a super fascinating topic that has its fingers in every pie and has shaped the world more than many of us realize. Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky covers everything from saltmaking to politics to recipes to etymology. One small example is the word "salary," also derived from salt, as Roman soldiers were often paid partly in salt. I think it's super interesting!
There's some bbc docu that I watched, probably a James Burke docu, that highlights how deep salt goes in human society. It's crazy, how much we take it for granite now but how vastly important and scarce it was for so long and how it shaped civilization. Also like that is coffee. Coffee is hosed up, yo. It's got a real messed up history involving colonization and enslavement of indigenous peoples

The minor pentatonic scale uses the:

Root, minor third, fourth, fifth and minor seventh

These don't change when shifting between the minor modes, so you can play a minor pentatonic on top of any minor mode.

well, unless you try to play that cadence from the second or sixth. but you'd use the major formation in those cases like you already pointed out

Here's a fun one to twist yer noodle: the black keys on a piano are also the pentatonic modes.

Human hearing is logarithmic in pitch; in other words, 100 Hz sounds as different from 150 Hz as 1000 Hz does to 1500 Hz, even though the absolute difference in frequency is much larger for the latter pair.
