Except they trained them on stationary tanks, so when they were deployed the movement and noise scared the dogs and they ran back to the Soviet lines where they exploded and killed Soviet troops. Also they trained them using Soviet diesel tanks instead of German gasoline tanks, so the dogs would seek out Soviet tanks instead of German tanks because of the familiar smell.

I'm not saying stop all military R&D, I'm saying "Why the gently caress do we need ICBM interceptors and billion-dollar air superiority fighters?" That's just what all of our enemies are waiting for. As soon as we stop they'll reveal they were working on superweapons in secret, and then we're screwed.
