I'm probably in the minority here but I think your new Ford looks loving amazing exactly as is with the fenders and everything. Personally I think the hotrod look is a little played these days. Put in a bigger flathead, maybe with a supercharger or something, but I think it's awesome with the fenders and the black paint. On the other hand, it's your car and you need to make it yours, I'm sure it'll look great no matter what you do.
