I would especially worry about it if your parents are the ones that personally made the money (and they didn't inherit it themselves). I imagine you can only stomach supporting your lazy kid so many years into adulthood, if you are personally someone that worked hard to make a lot of money in your own life. Either way, I think the OP should move to Vegas and play poker professionally. You will get lots of autonomy.
