don't expect it to magically make you better, switching input devices is a pretty big deal and it requires a lot of practice when I went from being a pad to a stick player about 4 years ago for about the first 6 months I was playing consistently worse until I finally mastered it going from a pad to a fightpad is less of a jump tho so I believe in you

I had a Korean friend in high school who lived for Guilty Gear and he'd hang me out to dry every time we played. I emulated my hero John Cena and Never Gave Up despite catching whoopins every time we powered up the PS2

it's a hard game to break into because everybody else has been playing it for decades but it's a lot of fun and worth the investment imo, obvs it's something to steer clear of if you don't like bullshit anime airdashers
