The Koran, on the other hand, is the words of one man, and it contains explicit instructions on how to live every aspect of one's life and how everything should be done. The end result is that Muslims are required for all time to live like 7th century arabs. The Quran is far from being the only authoritative text in the theological corpus of Islam. In fact, it's only a small fragment of it, and frequently contradicted.
