LVG's post game interview on motd Looked like a good game, result aside. Considering the missing United players the performance was great, may have been worse if Costa was playing though.

Carroll, Sakho and Zarate are all injured. Elliott Lee is on loan and Vaz Te has been sold. It's come to this. Carlton Cole is starting against Man City. That said, it'll be nice for him to have an extended send-off since he almost certainly won't be getting a new contract. Especially since we don't have much to play for anymore.

West Ham: Adrian, Jenkinson, Collins, Reid, Cresswell, Kouyate, Song, Noble, Downing, Cole, Valencia. Subs: Nolan, Jarvis, Nene, O’Brien, Amalfitano, Jaaskelainen, Burke. Would rather have Nene tbh. I really wish Carlton Cole had been as good as those magic few weeks under Zola, he's such a good lad and he means very well indeed.

Nene surely can't be still struggling for match fitness or whatever, how does Carlton get a start. He's a top lad with some #topbantz but he's not any good at football

Although he is more of a winger than a forward, though.

Hmm, at least Allardicio won't be able to repeat his tactical masterstroke of 'run at them really really fast' which beat City last time.

Valencia doesn't work as well without Sakho, they compliment each other fantastically. It could also be that without Sakho our other strikers are all turds so you can just double-mark Valencia. I vaguely remember it being Valencia just ruining Zabaleta with lots of pinging balls to the corner from Cresswell/Downing.
